What we collect and why
When you shop or create an account, Aster Edit receives the contact, billing and delivery details you enter, your selected products, order totals, order status, and any order note. We use these details to maintain your bag and account, process and deliver orders, answer support requests, and protect the checkout from misuse.
Payments and delivery
Our checkout uses WooCommerce and the official PayPal Payments integration. Information needed to process or support a payment, such as the purchase amount and billing details, is shared with PayPal. PayPal may offer its own payment methods and apply its own privacy practices. Delivery details may be shared with a shipping provider when arranging an order.
Cookies and order access
WooCommerce uses session cookies to keep your bag and checkout working. The order status page asks for your order number and checkout email and limits repeated lookup attempts. Temporary private access links, when customer email is available, expire after 15 minutes. We do not currently send marketing or order emails from this service.
Storefront measurement
On asteredit.com, we count product-list views, product views, piece selections, adds to bag, and checkout steps by day and broad source category (such as direct, search, social, or referral). The storefront keeps only that broad category in your browser session. These counts do not store a visitor ID, raw referrer, search terms, or campaign name. If you proceed to checkout, the source category may be saved with your WooCommerce order so we can understand which channels led to orders. Our servers may process IP addresses in security logs and short-lived abuse limits. We do not use these counts to build advertising profiles.
Website visit statistics
We use WP Statistics on our own server to understand visits to asteredit.com and our checkout website. It counts page views and estimates daily visitors using anonymized, hashed IP addresses and browser/device information. We do not store raw user-agent strings or associate these statistics with WordPress user accounts. We record referring website domains and campaign labels to understand where visits come from; our visit tracker removes other URL query values such as checkout tokens, email addresses and on-site search text. This visit measurement does not set analytics cookies, does not send visit records to Google Analytics, and respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting. These records are separate from the daily product-interaction counts described above and are not used to build advertising profiles.
Records and your choices
Order and account records remain in WooCommerce for fulfillment, support, payment reconciliation and applicable recordkeeping. No automatic deletion period is currently set for completed order records. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal information by emailing tristanhubendick358@gmail.com; some records may need to be retained where required for an order or by law.
